At this time, during the pandemic, visits to Adelanto are not permitted.  But you can still get involved:

 

• Become a pen pal of an asylum seeker – contact JISA through our email address to be connected with an asylum seeker looking for a pen pal

• After becoming a pen pal, call your new asylum seeker friend while they remain detained

• Write to your government representatives stating your concerns and goals for asylum seekers

• Help JISA by making a donation, which might be used to help an asylum seeker obtain legal counsel or be funneled to one of our partner organizations who are continuing post-release missions, such as helping to support immigrant shelters
